FEDISA students offer a twist for the CCL man…
Following the collaborative project between FEDISA students and Cape Cobra Leathercraft, the winners, Jasleen Matharu and Ashleigh Kavanagh spent one week interning in the CCL design and product development department, learning the ins and out of developing their own product. Both students followed their designs from the pattern making process, to the salpa development, salpa critique and finally the finished product.
“The level of perfection and intricacy that goes into every step of creating each individual handbag is flawless, and I was absolutely in awe seeing the bag I designed come to life from pattern to mock to the final product.”- Jasleen Matharu.
Jasleen designed and created a classic, yet contemporary mens sling bag which was designed to suit the professional, working man. The bag is perfectly proportioned to fit a laptop and can be worn as a crossbody bag as well as being able to be converted into a backback.
Ashleigh designed a travelling wallet with a magnetic closure which keeps your travel essentials accessible at all times.
Both products are currently available for purchase in a variety of skins and colours at the CCL Green Point showroom.
